Meet Oishi Nobukiyo,
build number 37 of the 47 total Ronin’s produced.
Oishi began life as a Harley-Davidson® Buell® 1125. The owners of Ronin Motor Works purchased 47 of the remaining Buell® 1125 motorcycles after Harley-Davidson® announced that the line would be discontinued indefinitely.
According to their website, the word ‘Ronin’ was derived “from the Japanese word for a Samurai who lost his master… ‘Ronin’ was chosen to signify Buell® motorcycles that will continue on after the demise of the company.”
This has to be one of the most tastefully done futuristic bikes we’ve ever had the pleasure of working on.
Let’s delve into some of the specific features that make this bike truly one of a kind:
Futuristic Front-End This Ronin is equipped with a girder-style front end (which thereby eliminates the front forks altogether) that gives this bike a uniquely futuristic look without compromising the suspension one bit. Innovative Lighting Our mechanics were big fans of the turn signals, as they operate as both the front and rear indicators. The headlight’s off-set positioning and separate high/low bulbs give it a stand-out style. When changing between the beams, she undoubtedly winks at you. Superior Starting While our mechanics have previously seen remote-start bikes, they’ve never seen a key-less ignition system quite like this. The fab simply needs tapped against the sensor on the air-box to turn the motorcycle on/off. This beauty will forever change what images we conjure when we hear the word Buell®.
