5 Motorcycle Events in Ohio Worth Attending

1. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

WHAT: Covering more than 300 acres, this event features the largest motorcycle swap meet in North America and puts on a host of vintage races and bike shows. Some choose to stay for the weekend as they offer on-site camping.

WHERE: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
7721 Steam Corners Rd, Lexington, OH 44904

WHEN: July 22-24, 2022

TIPS: Wear comfortable shoes and prepare for a lot of walking. Friday and Saturday are our preferred days for the best deals and events- we’ve historically found that many of the vendors pack up early on Sunday.

2. Lima Half-Mile

WHAT: In our humble opinion, this AMA-sanctioned Pro Flat-Track race is one of the “can’t miss” events of the year. More on our history with it here. For those unfamiliar, flat-track is a circular dirt track race that requires competitors to utilize sliding/drifting skills.

WHERE: Allen County Fairgrounds
2750 Harding Hwy, Lima, OH 45804

WHEN: June 25, 2022

TIPS: Arrive early and get the BBQ chicken before it sells out. Our favorite seats are in the bleachers close to turn 4. Be prepared for an occasional gravel shower!

3. Fuel Cleveland

WHAT: This FREE event is described on Fuel Cleveland’s website as an “invitational show featuring motorcycle builders, rare bike owners, painters, and photographers, honoring the industry and it’s crafts by carefully curating it and presenting it to lovers of antiquated modes of two wheeled transportation.”

WHERE: The Historic Hale Farm & Village
2686 Oak Hill Rd. Bath, OH 44210 (for GPS use Peninsula, Ohio 44264)

WHEN: July 30th, 2022

TIPS: This year the event is being held at Hale Farm & Village. If you’ve never been, plan to make a day of it and check out the historic working farm. We particularly enjoy the live blacksmith, glassblowing, and cooking demonstrations.

4. Devil’s Staircase Pro Hillclimb

WHAT: Dubbed the “Party on the Hill”, this AMA Pro sanctioned event has both hillclimb and dirt drag racing. Primitive camping is available.

WHERE: Devil’s Staircase
1086 Corwin Rd, Oregonia, OH 45054

WHEN: October 8th – October 9th, 2022

TIPS: While you’re not allowed to bring in your own alcoholic beverages, we strongly encourage bringing your own non-alcoholic refreshments and food as availability on-site is extremely limited. Some with noise sensitives (especially children) may be more comfortable with earplugs. There are no bleachers so bring your own blanket/chair and arrive early if you want to ensure a space to set up.
