We recently finished up repairs on this 1978 Maico Dirt-bike and are excited to share this unique piece with you!
It’s no secret that vintage two-strokes make our hearts skip an extra beat. This beauty came to us in need of fork seals and an ignition. Following suit with the quote ‘pain is beauty’- this piece is no exception. Finding parts for this machine proved a difficult task, and the left-sided kick-starter was challenging at best.
For it’s age, this bike has been immaculately taken care of and even by today’s standards does not lack any power. No novice to two-strokes, even Dain was surprised by how peppy this Maico was when giving it a test-ride.
We’re happy to see that there are individuals still preserving these classic machines and keeping them alive and running!
